We will examine the transforming role of human resource management as it relates to job creation and potential job loss in the cloud. He will detail the costs and types of resources used in the cloud, from hardware, paper, power usage, and heating and cooling to the number-one resource, people. He will also address issues like compensation, performance management, organization development, employee motivation, communication, administration, and training.Attendees will learn about:
• The common cloud types and strategies;• Green resource management in the clouds;• Managing,measuring, and minimizing costs in the cloud; and• People management within and without the cloud.
Our speaker is Ray Cornelious, who recently spoke at the HDI conference in Orlando. Ray has over twenty-five years of IT experience ranging from help desk lead to project manager with Harris County Hospital District and Texas Children's Hospital. In addition to his work in the healthcare industry, he has held IT leadership roles with Center Point Energy, Constellation Energy Group and Firm Logic. Ray is a Microsoft Certified Professional and received his degree in computer science from ECPI College of Technology.
